Or a local country cemetery. Had a cemetery about half mile from where I grew up. Had several graves from the revolution era, and several other wars. Kings Mountain battlefield another good place, plus it's sposed be haunted.

My family did all of those sites. My mother especially was a Revolutionary and Civil War history buff. The only downside to seeing all the forts and battlefields at my age then( 8-14?) was they kinda all blended together.

We went to several battlefields. My son loves history. We went to Fort Erie and Fort Niagara a few times too.
