From 1440: Turkey is cracking down on passengers who stand up before the seatbelt sign is turned off after landing. It's become common for people to jump up during taxiing to grab their bags or rush to the front, ignoring safety rules. To stop this, Turkey’s aviation authority has introduced a new rule. Anyone caught standing early or smoking on board will face a fine of 2,603 Turkish liras (about $67). Airlines must also update their safety announcements to include this warning.
ZERO CHANCE this doesn't come back to hurt Turkey's travel and tourism industry!
