THE MYTH OF OVER-POPULATIONFor many years, the environmental crowd has been yelling about all kinds of environmental concerns due to the planet being crowded with too many people. I recently watched a video where Bill Gates was fretting about it. Then I read up on the wackos that financed the "Georgia Stones" a few decades ago and stated that the earth's population needs to be maintained at "UNDER 500,000,000 IN PERPETUAL BALANCE WITH NATURE." With a current world population of 8,191,988,453, that would call for a population DECREASE of about 94%! That means 7.6 billion people need to either die or leave the planet in order for humanity to live "in perpetual balance with nature."Thankfully, God has a very different opinion. He placed NO LIMITS whatsoever on the number of people who may inhabit the earth. He simply told us to "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth," and He told us this before the fall of man and afterwards (Gen. 1:28; 9:1; 9:7). God isn't worried about His planet being harmed by human over-population. By sin? Yes. By over-population? Not so much. But is there a population problem? It's easy to think so when leftists throw numbers around carelessly without giving a comparative context. Eight BILLION sounds like a lot when compared to other numbers that we use regularly, such as the HUNDREDS or THOUSANDS that we might mention when discussing a car loan, a bank account or a mortgage balance. We might even use the word MILLION when discussing a lottery, an insurance policy or democrat vote stealing. But about the only time we hear a BILLION being discussed is when some politicians are arguing about a spending bill. So 8.1 BILLION sounds really huge. In reality, it's very small. The earth has about 15 BILLION acres of inhabitable land (deserts and oceans excluded). This means that every human being could have 1.9 acres all for himself (assuming Bill Gates parts with about 268,998 acres). Or, if we break it all down into average households of four people, each household could have 7.6 acres! If we're nice enough to give half of the land to Government and business, we still have 7.5 billion acres for a little under two billion households. Each household gets well over 3.5 acres! But let's not stop there. Suppose President Trump were to give a rally, and everyone on earth came to hear him. The whole thing could be conducted in a land space no larger than Houston, Texas. Need a little more elbow room? Okay, have it in Jacksonville, Florida or Anchorage, Alaska. Hold it at Grand Canyon National Park and everyone can set up a personal tent! Better yet, just move everyone to West Tennessee, and they'll all get a tent, a Coleman camp stove, and a Porta Potty! Everyone can fit nicely "between the rivers," and we can make Woodstock look like a family picnic. You get the point: the planet is NOT over-populated. This is just another way for Satan to oppose God's will and God's word. Don't fall for any of it. If you feel that it's over-populated where you live, then MOVE! God never told you to live in a metropolitan hell hole anyway (Isa. 5:8). MOVE . . . and stop voting for morons who want to control your life.
