That’s A Small Thing1 Corinthians 4:3-4“But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self. For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.”I would think that most Christians have been on the receiving end of man’s judgment. We know from the Bible that on more than one occasion the Apostle Paul was judged by man. It seems that sometimes he was compelled to answer for himself and then there were times he seemed to stay silent.I like what the Bible calls the judgment of man in our text, “it is a very small thing”.For a Christian, the least of our daily concerns should be when we are judged of man. But I also believe the judgment of man is a good motivator for me to check my heart with God. In the first two verses of1 Corinthians chapter 4 Paul states what every Christian should be concerned about, our stewardship before the Lord.1 Corinthians 4:1-2“Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”We are stewards of God and we answer to Him alone!May He find us to be faithful stewards.
