Qatar’s gift of a new ‘Air Force One’ plane to America has created a storm of controversy especially amongst his detractors. There has been a great amount of undue criticism and claims of foreign influence and the appearance of impropriety on the part of President Trump to accept the Jumbo Jet. Even the claim that it would be unconstitutional under the emolument clause, which is ridiculous. Trump would not be taking personal possession of the airplane for himself; the jet would be the official property of the United States Air Force. Trump will only have access to the use of the jet during the rest of his term in office. Donald Trump already has his own private jet. The rest is only stupid woke nonsense.
