God Is Always At WorkGenesis 42:36“And Jacob their father said unto them, Me have ye bereaved of my children: Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and ye will take Benjamin away: all these things are against me.”This verse shows us that there was a time in Jacob’s life that he thought nothing was going right. He thought Joseph is gone, Simeon is gone, and now Benjamin is going to be taken away. To Jacob, God had failed him. But it was Jacob’s faith that failed him and he was not considering the truth of God as found in Romans 8:28. That verse says “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”When Jacob thought “all these things are against me” God was working “all things… together for good…”.Later Joseph testified in Genesis 50:20“But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.”God was taking all the bad things that were happening to Jacob (and Joseph) and was working them for good. May we never forget that God is always at work in our life. When things seem at their worst and nothing seems to be going right, God is still working!Trust Him!!
