Matthew 7:22 (KJV) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many w o n d e r f u l works?Matthew 7:23 (KJV) And then will I p r o f e s s unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.WONDERFUL WORKS: Many church going folks t h i n k they will be able to stand before God based on their WONDERFUL WORKS for God.They might have lived a r e l i g i o u s life before God and man, but they will hear those awful words: “ I NEVER knew you: DEPART from me, ye that work iniquity.”R e l i g i o u s people are the h a r d e s t people to reach with the gospel since they are s e l f - righteous and believe that their goodness h e l p s God in their salvation. There is ‘ o n e ’ mediator between God and man, not two: CHRIST JESUS - 1 Timothy 2:5 - For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;But the r e l i g i o u s will tell you that God needs h e l p with your salvation so you must ‘work’ your way into heaven or join their church that is the only church with the right name. Religion is the t o o l of Satan himself. He knows he can’t stop the d e s i r e to worship so he will re-direct people’s worship from focusing on what God did at Calvary to what you ‘can do’. My salvation in 💯 based on the F I N I S H E D work of Jesus. I can’t add to what he did or will I take away from his work.KNOWING: Galatians 2:16 K n o w i n g that a man is N O T justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and N O T by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall N O flesh be justified.
