The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released mugshots and criminal histories of several detainees at the Delaney Hall ICE detention facility in Newark, New Jersey, after the facility was overrun by Democrat lawmakers and progressive activists on Friday. The release comes in response to demands for transparency by elected officials who breached security to protest the conditions at the facility. According to a press release, one detainee, Chinchilla Caballero, was arrested by ERO Newark and the FBI pursuant to a Warrant for Arrest of Alien. Caballero, identified as a known active member of the MS-13 gang, is flagged in multiple TECS lookout databases and is currently being held for removal proceedings. Another detainee, Ramos Marin, is the subject of an INTERPOL Red Notice issued in April for homicide charges in Brazil. He was arrested in Newark by a coordinated team involving ERO, HSI SAC Newark, and CBP Newark. Marin, classified as a fugitive from justice, is being detained without bond. Also among those photographed was Saravia Santamaria, a verified MS-13 affiliate encountered under DHS’s Raven operation. Santamaria, a citizen of El Salvador, was apprehended in conjunction with Homeland Security Investigations and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The fourth individual identified, Adonis Estevez Bello of the Dominican Republic, has multiple felony convictions including drug trafficking, weapons offenses, and resisting arrest. The release of the records followed an illegal entry into the facility by several Democratic officials, including Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ), Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-NJ), and Newark Mayor Ras Baraka. In a post to X, Rep. McIver claimed, “The lack of transparency around what’s happening with ICE in this facility is unacceptable. People deserve dignity and we need answers.” According to acting U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey, Alina Habba, Mayor Baraka was taken into custody after trespassing on federal property and defying multiple warnings from DHS agents. “He has willingly chosen to disregard the law. That will not stand in this state. He has been taken into custody. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW,” Habba stated. As reported by PIX11 News, the officials were attempting to conduct oversight at the Delaney Hall facility, leased for $63 million annually from THE GEO Group. The city is reportedly suing ICE for more access and accountability, alleging that the number of detainees being held has not been disclosed. Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin confirmed in a report that “two Democratic members of Congress” and a group of protesters forced entry after waiting for security gates to open for a bus transporting detainees. “They rushed in past security… video posted online appears to confirm they are both on site at the facility,” Melugin wrote, identifying the lawmakers as Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman and Rep. Robert Menendez Jr. DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin issued a sharp rebuke, stating, “Members of Congress storming into a detention facility goes beyond a bizarre political stunt and puts the safety of law enforcement agents and the detainees at risk. Members of Congress are not above the law and cannot illegally break into detention facilities.
