By Faith I KnowHebrews 11:3“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”When it comes to the Bible, I guess some people must have proof in order to believe.I am one who does not have to go to Israel to see the empty tomb in order to believe that Jesus Christ arose from the dead. Our text lets us know that it is “through faith” that we “understand” or comprehend “that the worlds were framed”. There are some things in the Bible that are without human explanation. I do not need any scientific, human explanation to know that the universe was created by God. My faith allows me to grasp the truth that God created out of nothing the piece of earth that I am standing on. This past weekend we were in a church near the east coast. I can easily look out across that enormous body of water we call the Atlantic Ocean and say God made this! I can think about all the creatures that live in that ocean and say God created them and put them there. The week before we were in the mountains of Virginia. Looking at their beauty and strength I have no doubt that God created them. All the evidence I needed to come to such a conclusion is written in Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”Romans 10:17“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
