Longing For God’s PowerIsaiah 64:1-3“Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence, As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence! When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.”The prophet Isaiah sought God for a manifestation of His power. I am afraid that the church today has gotten very good at organizing and operating without any aid or assistance from God. We have rehearsed ourselves away from the need of the revelation of God’s presence and power.Do we pray for God to manifest Himself among us?Would we know the difference between God’s supernatural and man’s natural abilities?Do we know the difference between the trained and the filling of the Holy Spirit?Oh, that God would rend the heavens and manifest Himself among us! A good old fashioned Holy Ghost sent revival is the need of our hour!! We need God’s power and presence! We must look for what God can do and never ever rely upon our own abilities. May God manifest Himself and make His name known among the God deniers of this world!
