China Tries To Save FaceMost Chinese have a strong desire to ‘save face.’ You have probably heard that expression a lot now that Trump wants free and now fair trade with other countries—especially China.Now we read that China may indeed come to the bargaining table. It’s in their best interest because the tariffs will hurt them far more than it will hurt the US. Trump is an excellent business man willing to cut a deal, but the Chinese are notorious for finding ways to cheat on deals.
