DHS recently rescued two sisters, aged 16 and 18, who were being exploited in a West Covina hotel after entering the U.S. as unaccompanied minors. The Biden administration has reportedly lost track of over 320,000 migrant children. In contrast, the Trump administration reunited around 5,000 unaccompanied minors with family or safe guardians in its early days. Some of the missing children have been found working in exploitative conditions, partly due to lax vetting policies under the Biden administration, where sponsors provided misleading information and fake photos without proper meetings. Christopher Ramirez who is said to be their “pimp”’was arrested.
