"THE PEACE THAT ONLY GOD CAN GIVE" "Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them." (Psalm 119:165)"Great peace" the Psalmist tells us is given to those who love God's Law. For it's there in His Word, we can rest upon His promises. It's there we can find His protection. And yes, it's there we can know His peace. How great and precious are His promises. How great and powerful is His protection. How great and perfect is His peace.The verse goes on to tell us that the peace God gives to the lovers of His law is so great that nothing shall offend them. Now that assures us that nothing or no one should ever be considered a stumbling block for you and I who have the Word of God richly dwelling in us because great peace is our guaranteed victory. The Holy Spirit is our ever-abiding presence as we journey along in God's Word bringing comfort and cheer to calm the angry tempests and tempters that would threaten our Heaven bound souls.Those who know His great peace can take up their cross daily and find it a delight. Be it poverty or prosperity, be it failing health or favored health; the Child of God who's clothed with the garment of God's peace can rise and live above the circumstances of any adversity.Friends, great peace is ours, and it's ours, not only for today, but every day! Shall we not then live in the realm of God's Word throughout the day? Oh, hearken to the Holy Spirit's voice saying to each of us this very hour, "Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them."
