In 1944, a correspondent aboard a U.S. Navy cruiser in the Atlantic reported that the captain became irate after a destroyer cut across his ship's bow. The CO barked over the radio to the other skipper "I am in favor of a two-ocean Navy. One ocean for you and one for me."
