Unto God
Ephesians 3:20-21
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”
“Unto Him” refers to God. God is the only One “that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us”. God is the only One who should receive glory and praise in the church by Jesus Christ. I guess it is human nature for us to look “unto human” means to bring us out of our troubles and trials. In some situations we have the tendency to look unto man to do what only God can do. There are somethings I am praying about that I am confident only God can do this.
Verse 20 teaches me that God is able to do “exceeding abundantly above” what I am asking Him to do!
Our prayer must be “unto Him”!
Our faith must be “unto Him”!
Verse 21 speaks of “unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus”.
Let’s face the truth, there is way too much emphasis in the church “unto man” instead of “unto Him”. We must see that God gets all the glory! This will correct itself when we quit looking “unto man” and get back to looking “unto God”.
