Honestly, the Gregorian calendar came out in October 1582 which changed things. Before this was the Julian calendar. It came out in Jan 1 45 BC. It had Intercalaris (27 days long) between Februarius and Martius. Aprilis was only 29 days long before 46 BC and changed to 30 days long after that.
