"IN HIM" "For IN HIM we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device." (Acts 17:28- 29) (caps mine)What a powerful verse! Meditate on those two words for a moment, "in him" and then look and behold at what follows; "we live, and move, and have our being;" When we come to that point in our relationship with God and realize that it's all about "in him" and nothing "about us", then folks, we're on our way to becoming a good Christian on fire for the Lord and all pride will find itself out in the cold.Think about it, "in him", we have His BREATH (we live), "in him", we have His BALANCE (and move), and "in him", we have His BLESSINGS (and have our being.) Oh, to know that "in him", we have our START, our STRENGTH, and our SHELTER. Understand that "in him", we are afforded His PRESENCE, His POWER, and His PROTECTION.Has it been a down day for you today? Have you wandered hither and yon on this day that the Lord hath made, with your lower lip about a half inch from your shoe tops? Have you been spinning around like a top all day thinking, "Where is the LORD God of Elijah?"Then turn your thoughts back to this little verse written above that was given from ABOVE for you and I, and let's warm our souls with that Heavenly reminder, "For in him we live, and move, and have our being;"Friends, the MOMENT we do that is the MOMENT we'll be able to sing with gladness of heart that heart-warming hymn:♫ Dying with Jesus by death reckoned mine; Living with Jesus, a new life divine; Looking to Jesus till glory doth shine, Moment by moment, O Lord, I am Thine.
