What Goes Around Comes Around“The President of the United States is not above the Law!”— Letitia James, Feb. 14, 2025When Letitia James ran for New York Attorney General in 2018, she vowed to go after Donald Trump. She said he was an ‘illegitimate president,’ and an embarrassment. She had no case against him, but after she was elected she went on a fishing expedition.She invented civil fraud charges against Trump. She said his Mar-a-Lago property was worth far less than what he claimed when using it to obtain a bank loan. James assumed she was a real estate expert and claimed Mar-a-Lago was worth only $18 million. Many say it’s worth well over $100 million.Now the shoe is on the other foot. James has been accused of mortgage fraud and Trump has made a criminal referral to the Justice Department for prosecution. Letitia claimed Trump is ‘weaponizing the justice system.’ That statement drips with irony. James lied on a loan application form, claiming her principal residence was in Virginia in order to get a lower rate.Letitia is now on the hook and Trump should reel her in. After all, “nobody is above the law.”— Ben Garrison
