View More#WalkAway I am a Trump Supporter- Before you judge me let me tell you who I am. I am an underdog. I was born to an alcoholic mother two months prematurely and almost died. I was molested by the time I was 5. I watched my mother being beat by numerous boyfriends. Sometimes she would crawl in my bed and cry. I grew up with physical abuse. I grew up with physical and emotional neglect from both my mother and my father. I was kicked out of my home at 18, totally unprepared. Here's where I'll take some responsibility for my self unlike many are unable to do. I chose to party, and do drugs instead of use my early adult hood to better myself. I repeatedly made bad decisions. And today I am responsible for those choices. I have had every opportunity to work toward higher education, build my credit, work for a job for a long period of time. It took many years for me to realize this. I had to learn on my own without parental guidance. But during those early adult years I was lucky to be living in a very diverse city because I met some of the best people I've ever known. I chose to be open to learning about other people and cultures. I chose to respect those differences. I eventually chose to leave some good friendships behind as well as situations that did not benefit my future. I chose to marry a hard worker who has had the same turbulent childhood I have. I have chosen to stay with my husband though we disagree on many things because love is a choice. I have chosen to raise my child and teach him respect and manners. And I never cared about politics until Obama was in office, so.... Before you assume anything about me these are my thoughts on Racism, LBGT Equality, 2nd Ammendment, Abortion, Immigration, the Wall, Mass Shootings, and all the Media Mania Topics...In No Paticular Order Racism/LGBT views I have always treated most people with the dignity that any person deserves. I was brought up that way, My father, although not very good at meeting our emotional needs and more involved in his own womanizing than his children...loved blues, soul, asian culture, and created that love in his children.... I will say in school racism was normal and at certain times when white girls who dated black guys were called names, I never really knew how to feel...except I would never use that word cause my dad would have slapped the taste out of my mouth. I however as a young adult had many diverse friends and intimate relationships, and I valued those relationships. I had "sisters" whoose skin was different. As a young adult partying in the city, I was exposed to transgender, bi and gay people and accepted them as friends. He'll some Family, cause at that point and life my friends were my family. So yes I would have baked that damn cake. I choose to celebrate a persons right to marry whoever they choose; Even though I don't personally know weather gay people are reconciled with God or not. I don't believe in gender neutrality. My son was born with a penis. I call him a boy, and dressed him as a boy. I also let him play with dolls and he even had a stroller to push his doll around in. If he comes to me and says hes gay, we will walk down that road together. I do however beleive people can be born transgender. I choose to not speak against those who do identify differently from their birth assigned sex. Again I'm aware this is their choice, not mine. I don't care what bathroom you use as long as you are private, just as I am. I was raised by the Bible so (Dad was a bit hypocritical) Hard to wrestle right from wrong when you live life in the gray. All I can say is I choose to let God judge people because I am a sinner. I do not act better than. I choose to treat all humans equal because our God commands this....however I do resent all the racial tension that exploded under President Obama. I do feel that police brutality exist, and racial profiling exist... And I am aware that I am privileged. But I'm also aware that I have suffered many things people of other cultures have had to endure, and that many of my own choices have led to my state in life. I am also a person who feels that you can't raise strong, confident, well behaved children if you feed them the lie they are less than because of their biological skin color. I believe that everyone becomes responsible for themselves and actions when they are an adult. If I beat old people up and stole from them and robbed convenience stores, there would be consequences, and if I resist arrest there could be deadly consequences. I am livid that some people are raised to hate white people from infancy. I refuse to be held accountable for my ancestors Guns I choose to defend the second ammendmet, but know this- I also support background checks, mental health checks, and drug testing. But hate that the media doesn't acknowledge most of the firearms used in shootings are obtained illegally. And thise kids from Parkland admitted to bullying the shooter. Social media, bullying and school officials and parents are the culprits for the mass shootings. So lets fix that too. Abortion I am Pro Life, but I support a womens choice. I am not her maker, and it isn't up to me to decide what choice she makes. Thats all I have to say about that. Immigration I do support a border wall, I don't support children being separated. I am baffled that the left cannot understand this law was signed in under Clinton and upheld by Obama, and it was no big deal then I am not against people from other countries moving to the U.S. Legally. Many people I have met in my lifetime are American, but a different ethnic background. They move here, they are doctors and lawyers, farm workers, computer engineers, nurses, senior care providers, restaurant personnel, but they filed paperwork and did it legally. I do however resent immigrants bombarding the border with their entire family regardless of our laws. I am furious to see our flag being burnt by immigrants, who hate our culture and our customs. Why did I finally vote for the first time in my life? Racial Tension prevalent under Obama. Conservatives being labeled racist. The insane political correctness. My flag being burned. Police shootings/Police Brutality Riots Statues being removed. Everyone being Victims Feminism Hillary Hillary Hillary Media Ego Mania from Hollywood elite Safety Pins Claims of Cultural Appropriation And if you still think I am ignorant or racist you refused to see anything other than I am a Trump Supporter. I am sure I am wasting my breath, but let me share a real world experience... About 2 weeks ago my sister in law had a stroke. My husband and I were on our way to visit her in ICU, we were in his truck which is covered in pro trump stickers. And a van full of young black boys happeded to pass us and there were birds flipped our way. Naturally human reaction took over intellectual or compassionate action. I flipped them back off. Meanwhile my husbands calling the names I don't agree with. This went on back and forth a few minutes, I wanted to get the driver who was ignoring these children acting out. On his cell the entire time. The driver never looked up. Never tried to talk to them about this situation. They sped up and we caught up with them again. I begin to feel bad about my reaction, and wish that I had maybe shown them a heart shape with my hands rather than flicking them off. We caught up again. But one boy who knows nothing expect I support Trump was looking at me with such utter hatred and defiance. (where do you think he learned to look at the world this way.???????) I gave the same stare down, but then I snapped and made a silly face, one with my tounge out and fingers wiggling at the side of my head like a child. And one of the children did it back. I think it was to little too late. I hope my silliness maybe made them see that you can act instead of react. The irony is that I had brought rocks I painted to hide around the hospital spreading cheer and goodwill. One of them was a painting of three differently colored faces that said "Love one Another" Moral of the Story I am a trump supporter, I do not hate people because of how they look. Stop listening to what the news tells you to believe about me. Teach your children to respect adults, and other races and cultures. Be there to raise your children. If you have to do it alone. Do it! Teach them they will face racism, adversity, and ignorance, but to act and not react. Teach them to treat others respectfully weather they agree or not with their political views. Be tolerant. I will not judge you because you don't agree with Trump. I will not judge you based on your sexual orientation, color, food choices, career choices, weather you breast feed or not. I will however not stand by and embrace spitting on our flag, burning our flag, blaming an entire race because you have made poor choices, or raised your children to hate, or feel less than.
