The Deeper Walk With ChristPhilippians 3:9-10“And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;”The apostle Paul wanted more than just a relationship with Jesus Christ, he wanted a deep, intimate fellowship with Him. He wanted “to know Him”. But note what that meant. It means one must know Him in the power of His resurrection. I believe this speaks of the old life being crucified daily and then living in the new resurrected life that is only through Christ. Then there is the fellowship of His sufferings, which speaks of the suffering in life we face due to the fact we identify ourselves with Christ. There is one more, “being made conformable to His death”. To have a deeper walk with Christ means living a selfless life that resembles the life of Christ.“Deeper, deeper! blessed Holy Spirit,Take me deeper still,Till my life is wholly lost in Jesus,And His perfect will.”
