Reminders Of HeavenPhilippians 3:20“For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:”Philippians 1:23 tells us to depart this world and be with Christ in Heaven is “far better”. Every now and then our Lord gives us the blessed privilege of being reminded of Heaven. It is as if we were actually there. These reminders are sweet moments indeed! To know that I am saved and have the assurance that Heaven is my eternal home is the greatest assurance in this life I could ever have. I trust and hope that all who read this devotion have that assurance. I sometimes like to pause and think about Heaven, or as I would rather call it, Home. My wife and I own a building on this earth that we call home. But the home that I am speaking of is not made with the hands of men (2 Corinthians 5:1). Jesus said in John 14:3 that He has gone to “prepare a place” for us who are saved. He is gone and will one day return (John 14:3), but for now I know He is preparing a place for all His children. He said, “In my Father’s house are many mansions…” (John 14:2). For certain Heaven is going to be special! Of all the reasons we can rejoice about Heaven the greatest is that truth that Jesus said it would be a place “that where I am, there you may be also”.Do you have a Home in Heaven?
