It’s A Way Of Life
Galatians 2:20
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
There are so many phrases in this verse that can grab a hold of our heart and make us think. Whenever I read this verse I am captured by the phrase, “and the life which I now live”. I think to myself, what kind of life are you now living?
What does it mean to live the Christian life?
I also think about that phrase “Christ liveth in me”. Is the life I am now living a life that displays that truth that “Christ liveth in me”? What does it mean to be “crucified with Christ”? Personally, I think it means that Paul was appropriating his desire to die to self daily, to be crucified with the Christ.
There is no way one can truly live the Christian life the way it should be lived and be living for self.
How selfish are you?
What about the phrase “the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me”?
If that phrase does not captivate your heart
I doubt anything written in the Bible ever will.
For me the Christian life is not about a choice, it is about a way of life. The Christian life is my life. What is life for you?
