Pageants: so my granddaughter, Haylee Jones, has been involved in pageants since before she was in middle school. And, quite frankly, I was against it. At that time I told my wife that there was no real purpose for girls in pageants. I told her it was all about showing of your body and was degrading to women. God, how wrong I was! I watched over the years as "pageants" build my granddaughter character, and has made her one of the kindest, most considerate, passionate, and caring persons I have ever met. It also made her strong as it taught her to accept her failures and continue to strive for success. In the last six months, I have witnessed a transformation in my granddaughter that I never thought possible. Out of the blue, she asked me if I would help her start her own business. Stunned, I said yes, thinking where the hell did this come from. And, thinking I am going to lose a lot of money here. She and I found a cheap building we could afford to lease. And since that day, she has been like uncontrollably lighting! Her energy has been just remarkable! I try to help her, to teach her about how to run a business, but she is always 3 to 4 steps ahead of me. And, to my surprise, she is in control. I will say "why don't we do this". And she will say, "no, that's not how I want to do it". I just look at her a bit befouled and think, what the hell! She is telling me how to do it? We started this around mid-January. She leased the building on Feb 1st. Every change we made to the building has been directed by her, not us. I am beyond amazed. I am completely speechless! The store she has created is just absolutely beautiful. As soon as you turn into the parking lot, her store "stands out". It is different then all the rest. It is unique. It has her personality. She buys nothing to sale that she herself would not wear. And she models them live on Facebook and TikTok. Her business in Grenada Mississippi is HJ Boutique. It is located at 1321B Sunset Drive, Grenada, Mississippi 38901. You young and even older women need to check it out. It is not what you are accustomed to. It is very, very unique. She has a website which I do for her where you can purchase her boutique fashion clothing on line. You can pick it up at the store, or if you do not live in Grenada, she will ship it to you. Please do not blame her for the not fully developed website. She is moving so fast, I just cannot keep up with her. I will get it finished very soon. Her website is HJBoutique.net! I put her store sign up today. She hasn't even had her grand opening yet and she already has a huge flock of loyal customers. The one thing I can tell you about Haylee is that everyone who meets her just loves her to death! Ya'll come she her!
