Watching For The MorningPsalms 130:5-6“I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.”Have you ever had one of those all nighters? An all nighter is what I call those sleepless nights that you lay in bed, eyes wide open, with something heavy weighing on your mind. The writer of Psalm 130 spoke of his desperate prayer of hope (vs. 1-4), his patience in hope (vs.5, 6) and the LORD’s promise of hope (vs. 7)This man was praying and waiting in hope. It could have been that in the night he was watching for the morning sun to rise, but his reflections on God did not allow him to be hopeless! On occasion in our life weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning! If your lot in life causes you to watch for the morning, then watch in prayer and hope!
