The Greatness Of GodPsalms 145:1-3“I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.”The LORD is great! He is to be greatly praised! His greatness is unsearchable! The fact that you are alive and able to read and comprehend this devotion is proof of the greatness of God. I know there are many in this world that do not acknowledge the greatness of God. Some of those many are described in Romans 1:21 “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.”I can just imagine David lying back at night on some hillside of Judaea, keeping his father’s sheep. As he looks up at the stars and thinks of all the mighty acts of God, he ponders how great God is!Perhaps that day he was summoned from those hills and ran home to find the prophet Samuel there. And as Samuel anointed him to be the next king of Israel it was then he acknowledged the greatness of God!Maybe he thought, “Who am I but a shepherd boy, how can I be king?”Has there ever been a definitive moment in your life that made you think of and acknowledge the greatness of God?Did you give Him the glory?
