"I THOUGHT I WAS SAVED AT 12" "I thought I was saved at 12 when, at a youth rally, I went to the altar and prayed, but God has convicted my heart tonight and has shown me that I have never truly received Jesus as my Saviour." How many times have you heard that? The answer is TOO MANY. Yet, I have never once heard that testimony followed by a preacher saying, "Folks, we're doing something wrong. We're producing fake converts, and that must change." There's no way to insure that the above NEVER happens, but it happens ALL THE TIME, yet never does anyone seem bothered by it. We've accepted it as a norm, and I'm sure the devil is very pleased. After all, for every person who does eventually experience conviction and true conversion, how many go through their lives clinging to a fake conversion? TOO MANY!
