Colossians 1:9 - For this cause we also, s i n c e the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be f i l l e d with the knowledge of his will in all w i s d o m and s p i r i t u a l understanding:UNDERSTANDING: When you read, you might not always understand every verse you read but the more you read and study the easier the Bible is understood.Today, people do not read e n o u g h to understand differences in the Bible, like:1. Difference between I s r a e l (Jews) as a nation and C h r i s t i a n s as a Church.2. Differences between the O l d Testament and the N e w Testament. It's not called 'old' because of those times being ages past, but because there are "New' things in the testament that differs from the Old.3. Differences between the P r i e s t in the Old Testament and the Preacher/Pastor in the New. In the Old the Priest were reserved for those of the genealogy of Aaron, but In the New you do not have to be part of their family to serve in the church.4. Differences between what you could e a t are realized by comparing foods. In the Garden of Eden, only vegetables and fruits but after the Garden meats, but then after the law, you couldn't eat pork, but once you enter the New Testament, pork is ok. The Bible isn't mixed up, or confusing. God is showing what it meant to be a Jew verses being a Gentile.5. In the Old Testament, there was no c h u r c h. There was a tabernacle that later became a Temple with many laws that had to be observed by the priest. No common Jew could enter the tabernacle. In the New, all are welcomed into the church.These are just a few d i f f e r e n c e s that are seen within the Bible. These differences or c h a n g e s happen not because God likes confusion. These differences and changes happen when man fails to fulfill God's Word. God never gives up on man but there is always a c o n s e q u e n c e for failures and sin which leads to changes. So, when you read something and it d i f f e r s from something previously written, then that change was necessary since man failed to listen/follow God.Once you see the d i f f e r e n c e s in the Bible then your Bible study has become REAL.
