Of The LORDProverbs 21:31 “The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.” I am a firm believer in preparing our hearts through daily devotions and serving the Lord and faithfully going to church and all the rest… God never has ordained or blessed any kind of laziness, including spiritual laziness. But in the end it is “of the LORD” that we have our safety, our deliverance, our victory. It is through this way that we cannot shout and say, “Look what I have done!” No, it must always be, “Look what the LORD has done!” The horses that pulled the chariots of war were well trained animals. They pretty much could drive themselves in the battle. Training the horse was very much needed and it would be neglect, ill preparation, and laziness to not train the horse. But, training the horse alone was not enough. There must be faith in the LORD to secure the victory!! The safety or the victory in the battle was and still is “of the LORD”. Dear Christian what ever you may be facing today or in the near future do not neglect to make your preparations, but also exercise great faith because ultimately the victory is “of the LORD”!
