1. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.2. The LORD shall send the rod of strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.3. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.Psalm 110:1-3. Almighty God said to His Son Jesus, sit at my right hand. Watch as I put everyone who rejects You under Your feet. The Almighty sent the rod of His strength, the Gospel message out from Jerusalem, after Christ's death and resurrection. Christ Himself lived as a Jew, He kept the law perfectly and showed many times that He was the Messiah spoken of in God's word. The Savior of Israel, salvation was to the Jew first, but they rejected it. Yet on Pentecost, the Spirit came down on 120 believers. Peter speaks to a multitude on this day, and 3000 people convert to Christ. These were not Gentile pagans, as all of Jerusalem was filled with those who came to celebrate the Jewish religious festival. This is 10 days after Christ ascended to heaven, 50 days after Christ arose from death. Christ did not forsake Jews then, and He will not forsake them when He returns. Christ with His blood has paid for all sin. For those who receive by faith, Christ has removed the penalty of sin and has covered every believer in His Righteousness. Amen.
