"FROM RIGHTEOUSNESS TO RIDICULOUSNESS" "Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people." (Proverbs 14:34)Isn't it crazy how stiff-necked people won't take a few moments each day and hear what the wise God of the ages has to say in the Scriptures about what's wrong with our country? Yet, they will sit and listen for hours on end to what some so-called liberal expert spits out on T.V. and they'll swallow that stuff whole hog.You'll recall how that Christ-less crowd years ago voted to give God the old heave-ho in our schools of learning, and we wonder why the majority of our children today have no appetite for spiritual things. Mark it down in big letters folks, when they expelled the Father of Truth from the classroom, the father of lies took His seat.The Pledge and Prayer that one time graced our mornings when we stood, as blossoming students of learning in the Public Schools, is now but a memory for those of us who still know how to say yes Sir and yes Ma'am, and please and thank-you because we paid attention and caught what was taught.We bowed our heads in thankfulness at the dining room table before meals instead of burying them in cell phones sending private messages back and forth. Our play station was the swing set in the back yard where neighborhood kids would laugh and play and talk about what we wanted to be when they grew up.You know as well as I do that the God hating and Christ rejecting enemies of the Lord today laugh and call Christians foolish fanatics because we faithfully look to Heaven for our daily guidance instead of the daily horoscope and yet, that same bunch of mindless mummies wrapped up in their godless agenda wonder why we believe America is going to Hell at a hurried pace. They mock our Bible, our beliefs, our boldness to speak the truth, to know right from wrong, and have the audacity to call us the terrorists of today.The fans of filthiness can post their porn and lewd pictures on Facebook and get such a vast number of "likes", "shares", and "comments", that it would give a C.P.A. a headache just trying to add them up. But along comes a godly Lord-loving child of God like many of you folks posting life-changing precepts and the Lord's promises, and you could count the number of "likes", "shares", and "comments" on the hand of a fella with only two fingers.Friends, when faith in God in fails, foolishness flourishes, and you can be sure that the results of it will lead to destruction and devastation. What a sad commentary it is on our Country to study the sure and steady spiritual plunge from what we once were to what we've now become. May the Lord help us to repent of our sin and turn our backs on all this ridiculousness and embrace righteousness which our God promises to exalt.
