9/30/2019 - First sighting of a Vine Sphinx Moth here on Hoo Hoo Acres. It landed outside our living room window, and it was HUGE!Wing span averages about 4 to 5 inches. They are completely harmless. A vine sphinx moth uses its long tongue to feed on nectar from flowers. Of course, my hummingbird feeder is just a few feet from this window where it landed.
