8/30/2019 - In the outskirts of Bridge City, Texas...who knew we could grow olives down here in all this humid, wet environment - Picked 4 cups olives from my friends olive tree (an olive bush, really) on Monday, 8/30/2019, and picked 2 cups a few days before that. This batch is mostly red with some green. The last batch (Batch #1), contain all deep purple to black olives. We'll see which ones turn out best. Soaking in brine for the next 3 to 4 weeks, then in different marinades after that for about 3-4 days. These should be ready to snack on next month, around the beginning of September.

I've got a couple of trees that were planted over 60 years ago, forgotten for decades, now they are producing better.
