Romans 4:6 (KJV) Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God i m p u t e t h righteousness without works,
IMPUTATION DEFINED: To ascribe (righteousness or guilt, etc.) to someone by virtue of a similar quality in another.
“Christ's righteousness can only be i m p u t e d to the believer"
There are no such things as a c o m b i n a t i o n of religious efforts for God to impute his righteousness.
His righteousness can o n l y b e imputed one way and never by two or more ways:
Galatians 2:16 (KJV) Knowing that a man is N O T justified by the works of the law, but BY the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified BY the faith of Christ, and NOT by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall NO flesh be justified.
I HAVE GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS, n o t because I’ve earned it (works).
I HAVE GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS, n o t because my church can grant it. No church can impute God’s righteousness.
I HAVE GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS, n o t because of any church rituals ( Baptism, confessions, last rites, etc. )
I HAVE GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS s i n c e I’ve listened to God that I’m a sinner who needs the Saviour, who died for me, was buried and rose again.
I ‘believe’ and trust him by ‘faith’ not by my works, which follow salvation. Never get the cart before the horse.
If you possess salvation you have confidence in heaven since you haven’t attempted to i n f u s e works, baptism, and rituals into salvation.
Now, do you have God’s salvation b e c a u s e of imputation or are you still attempting to fall from Grace by infusing the law with grace?
Galatians 5:4- Christ is b e c o m e of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are f a l l e n from grace.
