"HOW MUCH FRUIT?"
Say something about knowing people by their fruit (Mat. 7:20), and someone will often fire back with the snarky remark, "Just how much fruit are we supposed to see?" Actually, the snarky question is aimed at none other than Jesus himself, since he is the one who required fruit, but the empty believist is too shallow to realize it. This is quite evident when you place the question immediately after Jesus' words from Matthew 7:20:
"Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."
"Just how much fruit are we supposed to see?"
Congratulations, stupid! Now you've joined the ranks of the blind and skeptical Pharisees who were notorious for opposing Jesus Christ with dumb questions.
I've answered that in different ways, but the best answer comes from the lips of Jesus himself: "But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty." (Mat. 13:23) ZEROfold is not an option. An unchanged man is an unsaved man. "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (II Cor. 5:17)
