HEADS UP! 🌗 A Total Lunar Eclipse is coming next week to the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and most of South America! Timing will be late March 13th into early March 14th (time zones below).
During a total lunar #eclipse, Earth moves directly between the sun and the #moon, blocking sunlight and casting a shadow over the lunar surface. As this happens, the moon takes on a reddish hue, earning it the name "Blood Moon."
Here is when you can view the peak event of totality, which lasts for about 65 minutes:
