6/17/2019 - Japanese mazus, another wildflower finally identified.
These popped up around here in February, 5 months ago, at the entry of the well-house. They are tiny, about 1/4" long and grow only 6-8" tall. The top petal narrows to sort of a pointed tooth shape and is darker purple than the three bottom leaves. The interior is white with yellowish-orange lobes that resemble over-easy eggs. I'll be looking for these again in February.
