A question. What is the cross used for Lent, and is is found in the Bible. The prophet Ezekiel was shown the abomination that Israel were performing, idolatry
The very first abomination they came across, a woman weeping for Tammuz, and they signified it by an ash cross on their forehead
“‭He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do. ‭
Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD’S house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz. ‭
Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.”
(Ezekiel 8:13-15, KJV)
That was the least of the abominations. They also worshipped the Mother and child, the child represents Tammuz. Tammuz was the bastard child bought forth by Nimord's wife after his death, and she claimed it was Nimrod reincarnate
All this and much more, religious practices from Babylon, and adapted to pagan christianity (I use the word loosely because they are not). And ultimately passed on to all that came out of the Roman Catholic whore. Protestant, Lutheran, they each bought a piece of the whore as the broke away, tradition and religion replacing the Gospel
