The Christian StandardPhilippians 1:21“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”What does the phrase, “For me to live is Christ” mean to you”?I read that there were some troops marching to battle and the flag bearers were far ahead. Someone called out, “Shall we bring the flag back to the troops?” The Captain answered, “No, the regiment must catch up with the flag!” It is sad that for the most part the Christian standard is not much different than the standard of the world. I believe it is time the Christian standard catch up to what the Apostle Paul meant when he said, “For me to live is Christ”. The alternative to living is dying. Paul stated the alternative, “to die is gain”. But Paul did not want to die, he wanted to live and “to live is Christ”.Again I ask, what does the phrase “For me to live is Christ” mean to you?
