When we were kids everyone wanted to be the leader because that meant that you were the boss, the big shot and had power over everyone else, but we all learned that being a leader was not always what it was cracked up to be. We also learned how easy it was to abuse that power and become a bully. All too often that is the primary motive of many would be leaders today and along with greed and megalomania these are the worst traits of a poor leader. The pitfalls and consequences whether deserved or not, are many including, but not limited to potential failure, disrespect, mutiny and even assassination. True leadership qualities are rare today, most people are too content to play it safe and take orders. They would rather be told what to do, how and when to do it so they can blame someone else when things go wrong. Leadership involves taking a risk and taking on the responsibility for your own actions as well as the welfare of others. A LEADER takes the initiative and does not wait to be told what to do. A GOOD LEADER is also diligent, well organized, persistent and efficient. A GREAT LEADER in addition to all of this is also moral, ethical, principled and compassionate. President Donald Trump is a Great Leader!!!
