Hear, Receive, & ApplyProverbs 19:20-21“Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.”For those who want it, God always has a word of help and hope in the Bible. Our text verses prove this to be true. Note all the steps given that must be followed.You must first hear the counsel of the LORD.Then by faith, you receive the instruction and by faith you apply what you have heard and received.The result is you will “be wise in thy later end”(the outcome).We are also reminded that in the heart of man there are many devices or thoughts and plans. Which one is right?In other words man’s choices are many and if he wants help and hope, he or she must choose the counsel of the LORD.What counsel from God’s Word have you heard lately that offered you help and hope?Did you in faith receive and apply that counsel to your life?This is why so many never get the help they need in their life and they find themselves dealing with what seems a hopeless situation. I must empathize what the Bible emphasizes. To get the help and hope you need you must hear the counsel and by faith receive and apply the counsel you heard from the Word of the LORD.Help and hope are in the Bible.But what are you doing with it?
