The Stability Of Our LORDPsalms 125:1-2“They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.”We must make sure that our trust, our belief, our faith is anchored solely in the LORD. We say it is, but how often in life do we reach for external things to prop us up. The Psalmist here is reminding us that when our faith is solely in the LORD then our security of our heart is as stable as God is stable.God is likened here to the mountains round about Jerusalem and like Mount Zion which cannot be moved. That is surrounding stability. No one or nothing is going to remove God!! We must anchor our faith in Him who cannot be removed!Retrospect in our life proves that God has not failed us, so we can by faith look to Him for what lies ahead in the future.“All the way my Savior leads me.What have I to ask beside? Can I doubt his tender mercy,Who thru' life has been my Guide?Heav'nly peace, divinest comfort,Here by faith in him to dwell! For I know, whate’er befall me,Jesus doeth all things well.”
