THE LAMB SET APART FOUR DAYS EARLY “. . . In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb . . . And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month” (Exodus 12:3, 6) The lamb was to be set apart for the Passover four days ahead of time. II Peter 3:8 informs us that “. . . one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” With this in mind, it seems no mere accident that God’s plan of redemption through Christ was set in motion 4,000 years before Calvary! We know this is true for Revelation 13:8 speaks of “the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” The foundation of the world was 4,000 years (or four “days”) before Jesus died on Calvary.
