THE CHURCH IS GOD'S BIBLE SCHOOL Every time I write anything against Bible colleges, people come crawling out of the woodwork to defend these unscriptural entities. I just deleted a brief post of mine because the obvious intent of the post was being ignored so that people could make their silly little arguments for Bible colleges. If you want to attend a Bible college, then GO! But leave me alone! I don't believe in them, and I believe they are largely responsible for the Laodicean mess with which we are having to contend. The New Testament says a great deal about the teaching of God's word, but it never suggests that a Bible college is the answer. The CHURCH is the pillar and ground of the truth (I Tim. 3:15), and it is the PASTOR of the church who is entrusted with the responsibility and oversight of Bible teaching (I Tim. 3:2; II Tim. 2:2). There are NO BIBLE COLLEGES in the New Testament. You can respect that, or you can reject that, but you cannot waste my time with your irrelevant, Laodicean talking points. Either you believe the Book, or you don't. The fact that anyone even THINKS of learning God's word through any entity other than his church is a disgrace and is a definite sign of the apostate times in which we live. Just as a man should be faithful to his one true bride, Christians should be faithful to the one true bride of Christ and learn and grow from her nurturing and teaching. If you want to step out with a harlot, suit yourself, but count me out. If your preacher can't teach the Bible, then find one who can. That's my advice. Take it or leave it.
