RIGHTEOUSNESS, PEACE, AND JOY"For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." (Rom. 14:17)So the kingdom of God is not a physical kingdom, or at least not yet. Notice also the proper order of God’s kingdom, an order that the world can never seem to comprehend: righteousness, then peace, then joy. If you skip the righteousness, then you can’t have the peace (Isa. 57:21), and you can’t have joy without peace. So, everything rests on righteousness, a state that one cannot attain without the Lord Jesus Christ (Rom. 10:3-4).
