It is good to hear the word of the LORD. It is also good to read your Bible on your own, but that cannot replace hearing God’s word. That is one of the many reasons that it is important to go to Church and hear the word preached. This scripture has so much emotion and emphasis. As though they were already saying God’s word, but they weren’t listening, so now they are trying to gain their attention.

The only thing I disagree with you on is the going to church part. In today’s world, there are very few and far between churches that teach God’s word, rightfully dividing it chapter by chapter, and verse by verse.

Yes, we all need to be preached to, church leaders decipher the words in the bible and this helps you understand better. If you go to a church you dont feel comfortable at, try again. Once you find that church you like, you won't want to miss a Sunday
