Salvation is n o t a process.
It happened at Calvary and n o t at your church or with your personal life.
O n l y Jesus could be 'made' sin for you.
O n l y Jesus could 'atone' for your sin.
O n l y Jesus could 'die' for you so that you could have the 'gift' of life
==> Romans 5:15 - But not as the offence, so also is the FREE gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the GIFT BY grace, which is by o n e man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many
==> It's a 'g i f t b y' grace, n o t a debt you owe in order to achieve salvation through your religious services/works towards God.
If you were allowed to 'a s s i s t' in your salvation then that would make you co-Saviour.
Now, that is something you can n e v e r be since that would make you his equal.
Salvation is fully accomplished by h i m since only he could be 'made' sin for you.
If you t h i n k you can equal or achieve salvation then you've fallen from GRACE:
Galatians 5:4 - Christ is become of N O E F F E C T unto you, whosoever of you are justified BY the law; ye are FALLEN from grace.
