Human beings cannot be trusted in. There are many examples in the Bible that depict the faithlessness of man. Our saving grace is that God chose to be faithful even when humans were not. As Christians, you need to realize that the only one you can put your trust in is God. He is the only one who has proved his faithfulness. Human beings, because of their inability to remain consistently faithful, will let you down over and over again – but God will not.
