So, Kersaundra is house sitting for our friends, who are stuck on the other side of 50 miles of black ice and frozen rain with an avalanche warning in effect until Saturday. A week past when my baby was supposed to get home. This is why I don't travel in the winter. Or the summer for that matter. This is why I don't leave my little valley of peace. Despite the -35 degree Temps, the earthquakes, the aliens, the shape shifting otter people or the random airplane eating wormholes, I love it here. I don't have to lock my doors, the water is fresh as hell and we run on hydroelectric power with a diesel backup. I'll take these hardships over any fancy city apartment, Florida condo or Texas homestead. Who wants to live where it's flat?! #Skagway4Lyfe
