THE SAFETY ZONEFrom a winter in Alaska, the mountain slopes had eight feet of new snow falling over a packed base. They had avalanche warnings, but that didn't stop some of the snowmobilers from powering up the 2,000-foot Turnagain Pass. There was a small avalanche, but that did not stop the most adventurous. But then a mile-wide wall of snow released to come roaring down that mountain in a powdery cloud of white death. And some of those people were swallowed up alive!If only they had listened to the warnings! It reminds me of what God is warning about going into eternity without Him. The Bible reads, “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:18)In other words, God is saying, "Don't go that way or you'll be headed for a dangerous and hopeless eternity." It is one of those things that is too dangerous to ignore any longer at the risk of judgment day. And that is one avalanche that will sweep away whoever ignores the cross of Jesus. Please friend, never gamble with eternity to expect another day.
