Hope RestoredMatthew 28:6“He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”Acts 1:11“Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”The day our Lord died there was many of His closest followers whose hope was shattered. I do not fault them, it can happen to any Christian. If Christ would have stayed dead their shattered hope would have stayed shattered and all the world would be left without any hope at all. But “up from the grave He arose”!The day Christ ascended unto the Father the angel gave a promise of hope, “this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven”! This “same Jesus” who was crucified, buried, arose, and ascended into Heaven is coming again! There is our blessed hope! Because He lives, those who place their faith in Christ, shall live also (John 14:19). Often we are like the two disciples from Emmaus (Luke 24:13-35). Much like these two disciples, because of confusing circumstances of life we lose hope. The risen Saviour paid them a special visit and all their hope was restored. Jesus Christ is alive and He is coming again!!Lost hope can be restored only when we by faith look unto Jesus.Perhaps today you find yourself with no hope or lost hope. The risen Saviour, Jesus Christ stands ready to give and restore your hope.
